Leading Edge Aviation began providing FBO services in July of 2001 to meet an increasing demand for air charter and ground handling services in Northwest Iowa. It’s sister company, AirFlair in Sioux Center, IA began in 1980 and expanded its services to the Spencer airport locations. 

Since its inception, Leading Edge Aviation has been providing services to corporate aircraft and personally owned aircraft based in Spencer as well as visiting transient aircraft to our airport. We provide FAR Part 135 air charter, Jet A and 100LL fuel services, flight instruction, ground handling and aircraft maintenance. Additionally, we provide many amenities for pilots, crew, and passengers at our facility. The airport terminal building features a comfortable customer lounge, pilot's lounge, flight planning room, conference rooms, vending area and more.
